The Daylesford & District Historical Society is solely operated by those volunteers who are willing to give their time to assist us with a wide range of tasks.
Your membership form has facility to record your ability to assist. Our aim is to match your interests with our tasks.
Our Volunteer Co-Ordinator will guide you through an induction process and highlight the Code of Ethics guiding the Society.
Requirements for Volunteering
Working with Children check
As an Accredited Museum all volunteers are asked to complete an online Working with Children check to ensure a Child Safe environment.
Code of Conduct.
As a volunteer you will be provided with a Volunteer Registration Form and a Volunteer Code of Conduct. This Code clearly states the manner of working with other team members in a respectful way. The Code also outlines privacy considerations when dealing with personal information.
The society is also guided by the Museums Australia Inc. – Code of Ethics 1999
